Straight from the beaches of Goa, this fresh Free-Spirit Records EP from Scottish-born Goa-based surfer Nirmal is smoking hot.
The EP explodes with 'FMeral' and there's absolutely no time wasted in this ode to frequency modulation and its critical role in aiding us into an ephemeral trippy state. Unleashing high-grade levels of octane from the very first beat, it's exactly what you'd love to hear if you're lucky enough to be in Goa at the moment.
'High Tide' will have you feeling like you're really riding those Goan waves, transporting you to the happy times of parties on the beach and never-ending sunshine. Inspired by the incredibly free energy you get from surfing and the full-on high it generates, it's going to keep you soaring long after the tide has gone back out.
'Magic Bottle' brings the party straight home along with that euphoric magic that comes out of a very small bottle (which just happens to be Nirmal's favourite drink…). It will have the dancefloor stomping their hearts out with waves of happiness being released as this tryptotune escapes out of the bottle to create an immensely psychedelic party of epic proportions.
Big thanks to Nirmal for injecting us all with these pure Goa vibes and congrats to FSR for continuing to keep the spirit of Goa alive. Text by FlibbertiGibbet, Małpka & Elektrogen
If you haven’t heard of the UK trance label Free-Spirit by now, you soon will… the brainchild of Milan born label manager, Jay OM, who in 2004 conceived the vision of a network of like-minded artists in the psy-trance and ambient genres, all working to promote themselves and each other under one banner and thus the Free-Spirit label was born… Originally intended to focus on artist management, the label’s skyrocketing success, combined with the enthusiasm of Jay, the artists, and fans, enabled Free-Spirit to outgrow its horizons. Free-Spirit continues to build a collective of artists and djs from the world aiming to create and provide access to a combined set of resources not available to them as individuals, making it just a little easier for them all to concentrate on what they truly love, the music!
